Redbone Hounds

Cedar Valley Kennels

This cat was treed the second week of January it is the 4th cat we have treed this year and only the second one we were able to get a picture of that you could see. We started the day of running another cat that the dogs treed in a cluster of 5 or 6 pine trees that were practicaly growing together. The cat was way up at the top of them and you could not even see it from any where near the tree. We had to climb back up the hill a ways to where we were probably 35-40 yards from the tree to even see where it at all and at that point all you could see was its back and tail sticking out of the tree one of these days I am going to spend some money on a cammera that really does a nice job so I can zoom in from that distance and get some good pictures. For some reason every time I get an extra little stash of cash I end up with another dog. The pictures we have of that cat look like a real nice pine tree and I can not even see the cat in the tree and I know where it is.
This cat's track was found while we were hiking into the dogs when they were treening the first cat. It was later in the afternoon when we got to the first cat and you never know how long it will take to get one treed. Well this was one of those chases you thing will never end. I think this cat had to be one of the jumpingest buggers I have ever chased. I finish the story on this one a little later.
